Marple – Peak Forest Canal – Strines – Mellor Cross – Marple
Our first evening walk of 2019 will see us heading out from Marple Station along the Peak Forest Canal towards Strines. We’ll then gently climb to the superb vantage point of Mellor Cross looking back towards Manchester before dropping back down towards the River Goyt and into Marple via the Roman Lakes. It’s a perfect entry level route for any walker of reasonable fitness.
