Tell us about your first Freshwalks.

My first Freshwalks was with Viv Parry and it was October 2017 in Hadfield.

How many have you attended up until now (May 2019)?

Four.

Why do you come back?

Always have tons of belly laughs, love the open air and countryside views and have met some awesome people.

What’s your favourite route?

I’ve loved all of them but haven’t done enough to have a favourite yet!

The something you always bring?

A warm coat and layers as it can get hot. Lip salve and plasters.

Favourite Freshwalks memory?

Too many but probably from my first walk when Viv and I were the last ones to leave the pub and got lost getting back to the station – it was like the Blair Witch project! Another one was after my second walk on the train home, when one of the guys we were talking to thought that Freshwalks was a swingers club…..!!

Recommend three people you have met on Freshwalks.

John Knott, Katya Willems and all Adam Recruitment staff, especially Peter Baker and Richard Gahagan. It’s also been a real pleasure to get to know Michael Di Paola.

How does Freshwalks challenge typical networking formats?

It’s just utterly brilliant to be out in the fresh air and have the opportunity to meet people from a wide range of sectors. Sometimes I just go and walk and catch up with Viv and that’s ok.

Freshwalks is a combination of exercise, networking, sharing knowledge and thinking time. How do you balance those components?

It depends on how you are head space-wise. I tend to focus on the exercise and thinking time above anything else, and this allows the other elements to flow.

Suggest one new place for us to go.

I’d like to see more walks in Lancashire and Cheshire.

Sum up Freshwalks in three words.

So much fun.
