Chapel-en-le-Frith is a small town and civil parish in Derbyshire, England.
Dubbed the “Capital of the Peak”, as parts of the parish lie within the Peak District National Park, Chapel-en-le-Frith was established by the Normans in the 12th century, originally as a hunting lodge within the Forest of the High Peak.
To date, parts of the old village survive around the church, which is situated on a knoll just north of the main road and allude a traditional, Georgian feel. The cobbled market square and local pubs that ooze northern hospitality make Chapel-en-le-Frith a beautiful hub for a walk in the Peak District.
