For the latest in our Walks for Women+ event series, we’re heading to Bramhall Park which is an ideal location for those looking for a more relaxing Freshwalks experience. We intend to meet outside The Stables Kitchen Cafe from 10:30 onwards and start the walk no later than 10:45. After a couple of loops of the park, we’ll return to the cafe around 12:30 where you are welcome to join other walkers for further chat and subject to weather, a picnic outside.
Unfortunately, Bramhall Park is a good 30 mins walk from Bramhall station but there are regular buses (378/379) from Stockport for those wishing to use public transport. Bramhall Park is a beautifully landscaped greenspace. It sits in the grounds of Bramall Hall, a 14th century timber framed hall. The park is home to a variety of wildlife. Its woodland and lakes provide an excellent environment for habitats to develop. The landscaping of the park began in the 1890s, when the ponds were made.
