Three Shires Circular

Trentabank Reservoir – Shutlingsloe – Three Shires Head – Cheek’s Hill – Goyt’s Moss – Errwood Reservoir – Errwood Hall – Shining Tor – Macclesfield Forest – Trentabank Reservoir

We return to Macclesfield Forest, our base for this epic trek across three counties. Our route includes the highest peaks in both Cheshire (Shining Tor) and Staffordshire (Cheek’s Hill) and a stunning, diverse landscape of forest, reservoirs, moorland and riverside walking.

We plan to start the walk at 9 am and expect to return to the start around 4.30 pm. It’s a long day in the hills, you will need to wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring a good supply of drinking water and a packed lunch.
