Hathersage – Stanage Edge – High Neb – Hathersage
Hathersage is a busy village at the eastern end of the Hope Valley with a rich industrial and literary heritage. Our particular circular route heads upto the iconic Stanage Edge which stretches for approximately 4 miles and recently featured in the classic film Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley.
It offers fine views of the Hope Valley stretching back towards Kinder Scout and many of the surrounding peaks. The route also includes nods to Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre and the legend of Robin Hood.
After the walk we’ll head to one of the village pubs for some food and refreshments and hope you can stay a little longer to continue any unfinished conversations.
