Macclesfield Forest – Shutlingsloe – Three Shires Head – Lud’s Church – The Roaches – Meerbrook
For a January winter classic adventure, we are repeating our August 2019 route, starting in Macclesfield Forest, finishing just short of Leek.
The route takes in many of the South West Peak District’s finest highlights, including ‘the Matterhorn of Cheshire’, Shutlingsloe, the waterfalls at Three Shires Head, the chasm at Lud’s Church and the glorious views from The Roaches – a near-perfect linear walk for the dedicated Freshwalker.
