Macclesfield Forest – Shutlingsloe – Three Shires Head – Lud’s Church – The Roaches – Meerbrook
This challenging walk starts in the magnificent setting of Macclesfield Forest and finishes just outside Leek, Staffordshire.
The route takes in many of the South West Peak District’s finest highlights. Including ‘the Matterhorn of Cheshire’, Shutlingsloe, the waterfalls and plunge pool at Three Shires Head, the chasm at Lud’s Church and the peaks and pools of The Roaches – a near perfect linear walk across three counties for the dedicated Freshwalker.
