Trentabank Reservoir – Macclesfield Forest – Shutlingsloe – Trentabank Reservoir
This is our first Sunrise event of 2024 in Macclesfield Forest. We invite you to join us for some uphill, early morning walking before hopefully witnessing a glorious sunrise from the summit of Shutlingsloe which towers above Macclesfield Forest and the Cheshire countryside below.
As we start this walk in the dark, you will need to bring a torch (ideally a headtorch), wear warm layered clothing and either walking boots or shoes.
You’ll also need to bring your own drinking water, perhaps some breakfast and a flask of something hot for when we stop to enjoy the sunrise view around 08:20. We should arrive back at the start between 10:00 and 10:15.
