Hadfield – Bottoms Reservoir – Tintwistle – Valehouse Reservoir – Rhodeswood Reservoir – Longdendale Trail – Padfield (Hadfield)
We’re heading back to Hadfield (near Glossop) for a gentle morning winter ramble on mostly good trails and reservoir paths. This route has been designed for those with busy diaries seeking a half day walk option or those looking for a less demanding Freshwalks experience. The walk sets off from Hadfield station and after joining the Longdendale Trail, drops down to the reservoir path to begin a clockwise loop, circumnavigating Bottoms, Valehouse and Rhodeswood reservoirs. The route should offer reasonable protection from the winter elements and includes a cosy, welcoming village pub at the end.
