Edale – Grindslow Knoll – Grindsbrook Clough – Ringing Roger – Edale
Our first Sunrise event of the 2022/2023 season. We invite you to join us for some uphill, early morning walking before hopefully witnessing a glorious morning sunrise from Kinder Scout.
We intend to start the walk from Edale train station at 06:30. You can either drive and meet us there or catch a train from Manchester Piccadilly at 05:46, passing Stockport at 05:56 and Hazel Grove at 06:04.
As we start this walk in the dark, you will need to bring a torch (ideally a headtorch), wear warm layered clothing including waterproofs and either walking boots or shoes.
You’ll also need to bring your own drinking water, perhaps some breakfast and a flask of something hot for when we stop to enjoy the sunrise view around 07:43. We hope to arrive back in Edale in time for the 09:47 return train.
