Hayfield – Sandy Heys – Kinder Downfall – Kinder Low – Edale Rocks – Hayfield
Welcome to Freshwalks. This classic circular route starts and ends in the picturesque Peak District village of Hayfield.
We intend to meet at 12:45 and start the walk from Bowden Bridge Car Park (SK22 2LH) at 13:00. The plan is to head past Kinder Reservoir before beginning our ascent of Kinder Scout via a stiff ascent of Sandy Heys . We’ll then skirt the edges of Kinder Scout before taking a brief refreshments stop at Kinder Downfall. We’ll continue our walk onto the highest point of the walk at Kinder Low – close to sunset around 16:00 – before beginning our descent back to Hayfield via Edale Rocks. We should be back between 17:00 and 17:30 subject to the conditions and size of group.
