Strines station – Brookbottom – Mellor Moor – Mellor village – Roman Lakes – Peak Forest Canal – Marple station
For Stage 6 of the GM Ringway, we will be taking our first ramble into the “Exhilarating East” section of the trail. This constitutes an exceptionally varied route with spectacular views and gorgeous waterside sections with highlights that include Mellor Cross, a stunning panorama of Kinder Scout and the Dark Peak and an easy stroll along the Peak Forest Canal.
