Middlewood station – Macclesfield Canal – Ladybrook Valley – Lyme Park – Marpleridge – Peak Forest Canal – Strines station
The final stage of the “Southern Start-Up” section of the trail gives us a gentle introduction into hillier terrain. Almost all in open country, the route offers local interest and wide views across Cheshire, Greater Manchester and the Peak District.
Just like the previous stage of the GM Ringway, both the start and end of this walk can be accessed by train, making it easily accessible for walkers with dogs.
