Edale – Mam Tor – Hollins Cross – Castleton – Hope
A superb ridge walk in the Hope Valley starting in Edale and climbing up to Mam Tor before dropping into Castleton en-route to Hope.
The plan is to head to Edale in the Hope Valley and gently climb up Mam Tor before walking along the ridge to Hollins Cross. We’ll then descend into Castleton where we’ll stop for refreshments and toilets before continuing our journey into Hope for lunch between 1 pm and 1.30 pm.
The walk will start soon after the Manchester train lands in Edale at around 09:30. Drivers can park in Edale Village Hall car park and hop on the hourly train back from Hope (7 mins journey).
