A special festive ramble event. We invite Freshwalkers to either join for the walk only or to spend the afternoon with us, relaxing over a wonderful lunch at the excellent Ram’s Head in Disley.
The plan is to head to Disley, Cheshire which sits on the fringes of the Peak District and provides easy access to Lyme Park. We intend to walk a circular loop, climbing upto the lofty vantage point, close to Bow Stones, which offers splendid views out across the Cheshire plains as well as higher peaks in the opposite direction. We’ll return via Knightslow Wood, crossing through the park and drop back into Disley past the iconic Cage structure. It’s a classic route with the comfort facilities of the Park close by and rugged moorland vibes made very accessible.
