Grindleton Fell from Clitheroe

Clitheroe – West Bradford – Grindleton Fell – Waddington – Clitheroe

We start in the market town of Clitheroe and meander alongside the River Ribble before climbing up into the rugged uplands on the southern fringe of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering expansive views over Pendle and the Ribble Valley and across to the Bowland Fells.

A long descent takes us into the picture postcard village of Waddington, where we have the option of pausing to rehydrate at one of three excellent cask ale and food pubs, before a short final stretch back into Clitheroe.

For those who are still thirsty, there’s then the option of taking further refreshment at one of the UK’s best cask ale brewery taps: the award-winning Bowland Beer Hall.
