Ashford in the Water – Monsal Head – Monsal Trail – Coombs Road Viaduct – Bakewell – Ashford in the Water
This superb route showcases the best of Derbyshire’s limestone country, the White Peak. We ascend to the Monsal Trail at the Headstone Viaduct, which features on many a postcard. We then head along the Trail through the old Headstone Railway Tunnel and onto Bakewell, before returning to the picturesque Ashford in the Water via field paths and the River Wye.
